Stop

Her eyes sparkled. The moment had finally come. 
Her moment of glory was here which made him both happy and sad. 
He was silent. He had promised himself never to stop her. 
He knew not how to stop her but deep within he wanted that she would stay.
She would leave the next day.

Short Fiction. 55 words.

This is Perceptions 50th post. Too slow and too random would be the correct phrase to describe the flow of blog posts. Nonetheless, this one is special. After 5 months, the blog is being updated. The past few months have been very meaningful and special to me. 

Hoping for a very meaningful and special year ahead for my dear readers. 2013 had been very kind me here's looking for a even better year. Cheers!

Dark Alleys!

I’ve been afraid of dark all my life.

It was pitch dark that night. I heard a girl crying. 

I just wanted to know that she was fine.

I followed the voice only to find nobody there. 

She’d disappeared!

Short Fiction after a long time. 

To make it better- 55 words, 160 characters both forms of short fiction, nailed in this fiction.

This one is special.  After a long time, have i really sat down to put up a post. 

And as luck would have it, everything just fell in the right place. The theme, the number of words/characters(yeah an engineer by heart) and the click just blend perfectly. And besides, its a sunday!! \m/

Some Perspective: 

St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. Quoting sources is one of those good shit that happens to you during an MBA course. Btw, historical perspectives were never my thing, so 'fish' history.

Another one of those days, i'd rather spend time in my room. Couples hugging each other out there in the real world, letting everyone know of the 'lou' they have for each other. Long distance couples glued on to their phones, letting themselves know how much they miss each other. Singles spending even more time in the virtual world, letting others and themselves feel not so lonely(i mean you people should drop by the wiki link, you know to kill some time :P). And less 'saner' singles like me blogging on this beautiful day. Yeah, not so 'Valentine'!!

I mean the only thing that comes to my head when i think of love is-

But then, when you actually sit down too write you have to write something, and thus this blog post.

Love, of late has been Photography, Perceptions(my blog), Poetry, Portfolios(Finance \m/). Talk about the 4 Ps :D. Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. :)

Also, of late it has been difficult to find time and spend time here. Every time i'm here, i promise myself of dropping by more often. Alas!

do we care?

the sun was a bit lazy that day,
it usually happens the other way..
with a million different chirps,
my heart echoed with their stories!

i surely tried my best to understand,
by stepping out on their land..
suddenly, there was a calm quiet,
an unknown presence, was perhaps what they felt!

now, that i think of the day,
i'm baffled why they behaved that way..
perhaps, they fear of the past,
is it that they doubt how long will they last!

a promise is what we should make,
to remind ourselves that we're not fake..
by giving them the space they need,
and trying not to forget them in all these greed!

'why now?' is perhaps, the question in your head.. presently i'm residing on the hills of lavale, pune.. the view around is breathtaking, with its fair share of life other than human beings.. now, that is a rarity in present times..

and in the free time(yeah, blame it on the Sunday :-S)one starts wondering- where is it that we're headed? Can't we really do something?.

And thus, the inspiration-the post..

The end of MBA preps..Though just a week into college, trust me when i say this, if preps is difficult, the curriculum takes it to a whole new level..

A new beginning,

a new journey,

a new destination.

Free from the past,

from the blunders,

and the wrong choices.

Its the present and the future , the roads we are treading and the roads ahead that count ,not our past treads.

Three reflections i wish to share :

1.i quote - There is no saint without a past and no sinner without a future.

2.i quote - The past is our definition. We may strive with good reason to escape what is in it; but we'll escape it only by adding something better to it.

3.semper ad meliora, latin phrase meaning always towards better things.

On a lighter note ,

Go ahead, take up newer and tougher resolutions 'cause you will find yourself violating them sooner than later.
